Morrowind in Maya


CPT 269 Final Project, Summer 2010




"Beauty Shot"

For my final project for CPT 269 at Aiken Technical College, I re-created parts of the video game Morrowind using Autodesk Maya, including Emperor Parasol mushrooms, Draggle-Tail plants with bioluminescent Coda Flowers, and a Bull Netch.

All creatures and textures were created from scratch, with the exception of the two moons. Both the original designs and similar real-life organisms were studied in creating models with far more detail than the originals.

In each image, the Morrowind screenshot is on the right, my re-created version on the left.

Final output from the project included several "beauty shot" images as well as 139 frames of animation which were compiled into a 720p presentation video (shown above).
